Whole Milk opens at Twist this weekend
Utilizing a flood of colors, hard lines and graffiti inspired techniques; Minneapolis artists Isaac Arvold, John Grider, Eric Inkala and Drew Peterson construct fantastical worlds where the beautiful and ugly collide. Whether in the form of a horned imp, skipping through a sludge-soaked play-land or a mechanical cityscape, overrun with organic shapes, the fictional tales depicted within the pieces may be more telling of ourselves and our current place in history then we care to admit.
In addition, these Minneapolis artists are painting a mural on the side of the Viridian. It will be 80 ft. long and 30 ft. tall! Join the artists at the inaugural event and Art-Luck (pot-luck plus Art) Saturday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Find out more about this event . . .Then, mosey on down to Twist for the opening reception of Whole Milk Saturday, September 1st from 6 p.m. to
9 p.m. Questions? Email: twist@twistartgallery.com or visit www.twistartgallery.com. Image: mural proposal by Isaac Arvold, John Grider, Eric Inkala and Drew Peterson.
